Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the vicinity of The Pool. Hiking is a popular thing to do around The Pool; Whitehouse Trail is a brilliant local trail, and The Flume is another fine spot to stop at nearby. Summertime highs at The Pool regularly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration       of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at The Pool. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the White Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Franconia Notch Motel; no need to travel far to stop by out of the ordinary stuff like Indian Head. This lake is so wonderful. The Pool is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Campers World Campground is a fine local campground, and                  you can run the rapids of Pemigewasset River. The Pool is located in the White Mountains. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. The Mount Pemigewasset Trail offers hiking at its best, and a delightful spot to camp here at The Pool is Lafayette Campground. While you're here at The Pool, you could also pop by delightful Lincoln Reservoir, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Cascade Brook. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Beacon Resort is a splendid choice, and Loon Mountain is a very popular ski area close by. Boyce Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and at Shadow Lake Dam right next door to The Pool there are some out of the ordinary things to see. The Pool is right by the Basin Cascade Trail, and The Basin is right here at The Pool. That right there is lots of fun stuff already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. The vista of lovely Mount Pemigewasset near The Pool is pleasant; why not head up to Cannon Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. From a rainfall point of view The Pool is a pretty normal location; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the White Mountains.
