For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Pool Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Pool Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Head       up to Crotched Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and if you came to camp Emerald Acres is a nice place to do that. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Pool Pond. Get drenched paddling on Ashuelot River - South Branch, and a day on the slopes of Wachusett Mountain is just what you need. An average amount of precipitation falls at Pool Pond; the month with most of the rain is May while February is the month with the least                  amount of precipitation. There's so much to do here at Pool Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Woodemere Park Campground is a magnificent spot for that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Parker Trail. Paddling on Contoocook River is so much fun. Swamps like Dead Swamp next to Pool Pond make for fine locations to visit; if you need a site to stay Colonial Hotel is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Why not go to close by Mountain Brook since you're here at Pool Pond, and Pool Pond is right by the White Dot Trail. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Pool Pond. A lake close by is Contoocook Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Gardner. The summit of Carter Hill can be seen from Pool Pond; hiking is a popular thing to do around Pool Pond; Harling Trail is a brilliant local trail.
