Why not stop by Pool Pond if you're passing through these parts. Soar down the rapids of Ashuelot River - South Branch in a kayak; after a long day outdoors Countryside Motel is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. Pool Pond gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; most of the rain falls through May; the driest month is February. From Pool Pond you obtain a good panorama of Carter Hill, and don't leave Pool Pond without first going for a hike along the Parker

Summertime at Pool Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Pool Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Pool Pond has to offer, you can camp at Woodemere Park Campground, and a day on the slopes of Crotched Mountain is just what you need. Pond. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Shattuck Golf Course is in the vicinity, and there's tremendous hiking along the White Dot Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Dead Swamp is
around here, and there are wonderful sites to explore along the Harling Trail. A delightful close by hotel is Woodbound Inn, and not far from Pool Pond you acquire some nice water scenery at Contoocook Lake Dam.
This lake is so
wonderful. Paddling on Contoocook River is so much fun, and there's some flowing water close by, Mountain Brook is a stream you can pop by while you're here. There's so much to do here at Pool Pond that you need to camp here for a
while, Woodmere Campground is a fine spot for that, and you're sure to stumble upon some smiling folks from Keene here. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area in close proximity to Pool Pond has to
offer. The skiing at Wachusett Mountain is tremendous, and lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Contoocook Lake.
