Hit the slopes at Ragged Mountain close by, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Contoocook River. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Pleasant Pond. The Wilmot Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Pleasant Pond; for you golfers we recommend close by Duston Country       Club Golf Course. Pleasant Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; all through November this area sees the most rain while January is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Sandy Beach Family Campground is a brilliant local campground; Pats Peak has good slopes and a friendly staff. This is a popular place for folks from Concord, and Blackwater River is a great whitewater spot close by. Be careful coming to Pleasant Pond, you might not                  ever wanna return home again. Visit Ballard Brook while you're here at Pleasant Pond, and Pleasant Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Mile/Away Campground is a great place to camp nearby. Clement Pond is a wonderful lake in close proximity to Pleasant Pond; after a long day outdoors The Henniker Motel is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Pleasant Pond during the months of summer are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows at Pleasant Pond throughout the wintertime frequently dip into the 0's. Some magnificent nature is available in Davisville State Forest, and Grassy Pond Dam has great water scenery. This lake is so wonderful.
