If you like skiing, you're in luck; Crotched Mountain is in close proximity to Pleasant Pond, and the Wapack Trail offers hiking at its best. Pleasant Pond Dam is gorgeous and it's next to Pleasant Pond, and if you want to hit the beach, Campers Beach is in close proximity. For the       period of the summertime months here at Pleasant Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Pleasant Pond descend into the 10's. Pleasant Pond gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls during November, and January meanwhile is the driest month. A lake close by is Deering Reservoir, and a day on the slopes of Pats Peak is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Peacock Hill Campground is a nice site to do that, and Pleasant Pond is right by the Mitchell Hill Road. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Pleasant Pond. Camping at Wildwood Campground is always a wonderful experience; the top of Bible Hill is easily seen from Pleasant Pond.
