If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Hampshire you can check out Pleasant Lake. Pleasant Lake gets a common amount of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Go for a hike on the Campground Trail, and Northwood Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. The summit of Gulf Hill can be seen from Pleasant Lake, and a great close by hotel is Red Roof Inn Loudon.
The snow is great at McIntyre.

Don't leave Pleasant Lake without first going for a hike along the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail; unsurprisingly Flat Meadow Brook is a pretty stream that is worth visiting. Man, is there heaps of cool stuff to do right next door to Pleasant Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Pleasant Lake has to offer, you can camp at Blake's Brook Campground, and if you're here, you could also stop by striking Voydatch Pond.
This lake is so wonderful.

Pleasant Lake Dam is a wonderful spot in the neighborhood of Pleasant Lake, and you can run the rapids of Little Suncook. This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the Catamount Trail. There's so much to do here at Pleasant Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Circle 9 Ranch Campground is a pleasant place for that. Suncook River is a great whitewater spot next to Pleasant Lake, and Fairfield Inn & Suites Hooksett is a fine place to get some rest.

Sun River Campground
Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot we get near the water is by far the best! Country store is close and, for those who are interested, I can even use my cell phone (only if necessary, of course)without getting cut off! Thumbs up to Sun River Camp Ground!!! ...
