     After a long day outdoors Four Points By Sheraton Leominster is a good location to spend a night or two, and why not have a look at nearby Wolf Brook while you're here at Pierce Pond. Pierce Pond is not the only place close by, Trout Pond is a close by lake, and there are brilliant places to discover along the Mitchell Hill Road. Pierce Pond is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest  
   month of the year is September. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. Golf can be played at Townsend Ridge Country Club; the peak of Townsend Hill can be observed from Pierce Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Taylor Pond Dam has good water scenery and it's close to Pierce Pond, unsurprisingly you could also explore Taylor Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Good hiking is available along the Wapack Trail,
 
               and if you like swamps you're in luck, Dead Swamp is right close by. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Pierce Pond reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 30's while Pierce Pond nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
Paddling on Souhegan River is so much fun, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; McIntyre is pretty near. This lake is so wonderful. Lost Valley is in the vicinity of Pierce Pond and is a great spot, and camping at Field & Stream Travel Trailer is always a fine experience. A spree to Devils Den revitalizes the soul; a day on the slopes of Wachusett Mountain is just what you need.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Field and Stream Travel Trailer Park is a brilliant spot to do that, and during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Manchester-Nashua for sure. Man, is there a lot of entertaining things to do in the neighborhood of Pierce Pond. Go for a hike on the Old Country Road, and SpringHill Suites Devens Common Center is a nice spot to get some rest.

Ahhh good ol Heywood's used to be a great lake for swimming with rope swings that threw you out 80 feet into the water. but since then many things have changed people caught on to the fun nites out there , and police started showing up and now the whole place ''all the trees'' have been cut down  above the apple orchard, so no swimming there or you will be hit with a fine of up to 500$...

Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats....
