     If you're popping by Perkins Pond from Lebanon, you won't be the only one, and a day at beautiful State Park Beach close to Perkins Pond is a great thing to do. There's tremendous hiking along the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mount Sunapee is a fine spot to do that. All through the warmest time of the year here at Perkins Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter brings  
   highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Perkins Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful nearby hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge, and there's whitewater on Croyden Brook for all you adrenaline people.
The yearly rain here at Perkins Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August; the driest month is February. Perkins Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. A lake nearby is The
 
               Overflow Reservoir; if you came to camp Rand Pond Campground is a fine location to do that. The top of Cemetery Hill is easily observed from Perkins Pond, and you can run the rapids of Sugar River.
There's so much to do here at Perkins Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Loon Lake Campground is a pleasant site for that. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Lebanon/Hanover is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and striking scenery and brilliant skiing is what you get at Whaleback. Ledge Pond Brook is a stream that you may bump into while here, and why not take a look at Wendall Marsh Dam while you're here.
What a site this is for outdoors people. The Wilmot Trail offers hiking at its best, and time spent at Dewey Beach is always wonderful. Wendall Marsh is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and perfect hiking is available along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail.

I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......udes a 220 acre ski area and an 18-hole golf course, was purchased by Salt Lake City based resort developer RMR-Pacific, an affiliate of Pacific Group. Since then, total acreage has increased to 2,000 and plans call for 65 further acres of slopes.
Upon acquiring the mountain property, the new owners invested over $2 million into the resort for renovations including 14,000 feet of new snow making pipe, 25 new energy efficient snow guns, new snow groomers, a new Wonder carpet lift for beginners, chairlift improvements including reviving lift service to Spear Mountain, base lodge renovations including new carpet, the repair of steps and outside brick walkways, the addition of seasonal lockers and an outdoor fire pit, and adding two new restaurants.
The renovations did not stop there. In 2008, Ragged Mountain announced the addition of a new upscale dining establishment, additional snow-making capacity, and three all new terrain parks including one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East.
