There's some flowing water close by, Frost Brook is a stream you can stop at while you're here; glorious skiing awaits you at Wachusett Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Woodbound Inn, and glide down the rapids of Contoocook River in a kayak. Going for a hike on the Parker Trail is always a glorious adventure, and if you're a golfer then a pleasant close by course is Monadnock       Country Club. The annual precipitation here at Parker Pond is about average; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. Don't leave Parker Pond without first going for a hike along the Pumpelly Trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Keene. Stay the night at Monadnock State Park Campground; you can never get enough of the great skiing at Crotched Mountain.                  This lake is so wonderful. Parker Pond is a delightful place to camp, Emerald Acres is a delightful place, and if you come at the right time of year, Contoocook River - North Branch offers some magnificent whitewater. All through the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Parker Pond while night lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows throughout the winter for Parker Pond tend to be in the 0's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Parker Pond. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Parker Pond. If you need a site to stay Jack Daniels Motor Inn is a good choice, and you can take a little visit to Cheshire Pond Dam while you're here at Parker Pond.
