Take a hike on the Pumpelly Trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Keene. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling close to Parker Pond is Contoocook River - North Branch, and why not head up to Crotched Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Harling Trail, and you'll discover a       striking lake called Frost Pond. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Parker Pond has it all. While you're here at Parker Pond, you could also go to beautiful Garfield Pond. You can run the rapids of Contoocook River next to Parker Pond, and Colonial Hotel is a great place to get some rest. All through the warmest time of the year at Parker Pond highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the period                  of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Parker Pond plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Gardner Super 8 Motel is a fine choice, and since you're here, you could stop at Frost Brook. And that's not all you can do here at Parker Pond. The Parker Trail offers hiking at its best, and a day on the slopes of Wachusett Mountain is just what you need. Parker Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Monadnock State Park Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Monadnock Country Club. Parker Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
