Looking for something in the vicinity of Palazzi Pond? Bog Brook Reservoir is around here; there are tremendous places to look at along the West Ridge Trail. Here at Palazzi Pond there are plenty of folks from Lebanon; hey, Gotta ski right? Whaleback is a glorious spot to do that. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Palazzi Pond, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and nighttime lows

| | at Palazzi Pond all through the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 0's. There's so much to do here at Palazzi Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Crows Nest Campground is a wonderful location for that; why not visit nearby Bog Brook while you're here at Palazzi Pond. What would winter be without some skiing at Mount Sunapee; a great close by hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. Man, is there a heap of fun things to do close to Palazzi Pond. | |

Going for a hike on the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail is always a great adventure; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Lebanon/Hanover is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There are some tremendous whitewater
spots on Croyden Brook, and Bog Brook Dam is not far at all from Palazzi Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You're perhaps hooked on lakes, Cranberry Pond is one of those nearby; nearby you locate the Monadnock Sunapee Trail which
is a magnificent hiking trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Palazzi Pond has to offer, you can camp at Loon Lake Campground; whitewater paddling is not for everyone
but if it's for you then, we recommend Sugar River. Palazzi Pond is a good spot of normal rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. One of the best things about Palazzi Pond is its proximity to Dewey Beach, and at Palazzi Pond you can observe Barton Hill.

Ragged Mountain

Along with the substantial funds to help with improvements, the new owners hired ski industry veteran Bob Fries as president and general manager to implement the necessary changes. Fries has an impressive resume with 35 years in the ski resort business including five years as owner and president of Bolton Valley, president of Stratton Mountain in Vermont, and president of Breckenridge in Colorado. With Fries as the new president, Ragged Mountain applied to Audubon International to become a Certified Silver Signature Sanctuary. Audubon International only accepts applications for this level of certification when it can be involved before the construction of infrastructure has begun in order to provide critical input in the design phase, and guidance as the design takes the form of construction.
