     Float down the rapids of Croyden Brook in a kayak; an exciting thing to stop by close to Otter Pond is Otter Pond Dam. If you're looking for a beach in the neighborhood of Otter Pond, we recommend Dewey Beach; get yourself into a kayak and hit Sugar River. All through the summer months highs here at Otter Pond get into the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter  
   nights at Otter Pond are in the 0's. The amount of rain that falls at Otter Pond is close to the national average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February.
Whaleback has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff, and there are fine sites to discover along the Wilmot Trail. Just can't get enough of Otter Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Baptist
 
               Pond, and don't leave Otter Pond without first going for a hike along the West Ridge Trail. Going for a hike on the Monadnock Sunapee Trail is always a delightful adventure, and why not camp at Loon Lake Campground while you're here at Otter Pond.
But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Otter Pond. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Sunapee, and State Park Beach is a beach nearby that you can stop by. A pleasant close by hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge, and Brown Hill is gorgeous and can be distinguished from here.
This lake is so wonderful. You are right next door to Dunning Point since you're here at Otter Pond, and Rand Pond Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are delightful; McAlvin Pond is a lake that's near Otter Pond; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Lebanon/Hanover is a great location to spend a night or two.

Went there too in 75 and 77....I learned how to swim in Orange Pond, cooled off on hot summer days in Orange Pond, canoed, rowed and fished there. The ingress, at the time, was from Camp Magpies, from which there was a wonderful view of Mount Cardigan over the Pond....

I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......mprovements including reviving lift service to Spear Mountain, base lodge renovations including new carpet, the repair of steps and outside brick walkways, the addition of seasonal lockers and an outdoor fire pit, and adding two new restaurants.
The renovations did not stop there. In 2008, Ragged Mountain announced the addition of a new upscale dining establishment, additional snow-making capacity, and three all new terrain parks including one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East.
The resort development group has a history of building resorts around the Western U.S. and Canada. Along with the substantial funds to help with improvements, the new owners hired ski industry veteran Bob Fries as president and general manager to implement the necessary changes. Fries has an impressive resume with 35 years in the ski resort business including five years as owner and president of Bolton Valley, president of Stratton Mountain in Vermont, and president of Breckenridge in Colorado.
