If you're visiting Otter Lake from Manchester-Nashua, you won't be the only one, and get wet paddling on Stony Brook. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Otter Lake has it all. Otter Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Field'n Forest Recreation Area is a perfect local campground, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Crotched Mountain. Hiking is a popular       thing to do around Otter Lake; Parker Trail is a brilliant local trail; the scenery at Mill Race Dam is gorgeous. If you want to hit the beach, Picnickers Beach is in close proximity, and the Harling Trail offers hiking at its best. And that's not all you can do here at Otter Lake. Whitewater paddling is fine on Contoocook River, and after a long day outdoors The Henniker Motel is a good spot to spend a night or two. Otter Lake is a good site of typical                  precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Otter Lake, you could also check out charming Powder Mill Pond, and you can hit the slopes at Pats Peak in the vicinity. A golf course in the vicinity of Otter Lake is Monadnock Country Club; brilliant hiking is available along the Wapack Trail. Campers Beach is in the neighborhood of Otter Lake if you're in a beach type of mood; dry warm beds await you at Colonial Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Seven Maples Campground is a good site to do that, and a swamp like Spruce Swamp close to Otter Lake has lots of out of the ordinary things to see. All through the summertime months at Otter Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's; the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, frequently in the 50's.
