you can take a hike along the Catamount Trail. Odiorne Pond gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. And if that's not enough, there's
a lot more to do in the vicinity of Odiorne Pond. Camping is available at Epsom Valley Campground, and after a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn Loudon is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. Bixby Pond Dam is not far at all
from Odiorne Pond; a great site for whitewater paddling is Little Suncook. Summertime at Odiorne Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime
are mostly in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Odiorne Pond descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Odiorne Pond you can catch a glimpse of Barton Hill, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Blake Brook.

 | Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot we get near the water is by far the best! Country store is close and, for those who are interested, I can even use my cell phone (only if necessary, of course)without getting cut off! Thumbs up to Sun River Camp Ground!!! ... |
