The Holt Trail is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Mud Pond, and why not explore Knights Meadow Marsh Dam since you're here. Having a great time at Mud Pond is painless. Everybody close by loves skiing at Ragged Mountain, and Mud Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sandy Beach Family Campground is a great local campground. you get the most rain here while January is commonly the driest month. Mud Pond is not the only spot close by, Knights Meadow Marsh Reservoir is a close by lake, and going for a hike along the Wilmot Trail will let you absorb the
natural beauty of this vicinity. Some of the water close by flows, like Frazier Brook, of course you could also visit Bagley Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. You'll meet a lot of folks from Concord here; check out
nearby Knights Meadow Marsh. During the warm days of summer here at Mud Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's
with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Brook Campground is a glorious place for that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Contoocook River.
