All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Pond. Mud Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains.       If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Smith River; Mud Pond is right by the Clark Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Fowler River, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Hameshop Brook. The snow is glorious at Ragged Mountain, and hiking along the Holt Trail is nice fun. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the vicinity of Mud Pond will keep you coming back time and again.                  If you like skiing, you're in luck; Pats Peak is next to Mud Pond, and at Mud Pond you can see The Bulkhead. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Camp Kenwood & Evergreen, and if you get bored of Mud Pond you could also go to nearby Cold Pond. Mud Pond is near Bradley Lake Dam which is a lovely place absolutely worth going to, and the Wilmot Trail offers hiking at its best. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Mud Pond is great! You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Bear Mountain Rustic Campground LLC, and not far from here you can enjoy the trees of Ragged Mountain State Forest. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the White Mountains. If you're visiting Mud Pond from Concord, you won't be the only one; after a long day outdoors The Henniker Motel is a wonderful place to spend a night or two.
