Mud Pond; Wilmot Trail is a good local trail; do take some time to take a look at Ames State Forest since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Duston Country Club Golf Course is always a joy; camping
is available at Mile/Away Campground. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Mud Pond. There's magnificent hiking along the Old Country Road, and after a long day outdoors Henniker Motel is a pleasant
spot to spend a night or two. Craney Hill is a peak you can see from Mud Pond, and Tall Pines Cottages is a brilliant site to get some rest. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Contoocook River, and if you get bored of Mud Pond you could also check out close by Carr Pond.
