Pats Peak is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and if you need a place to stay The Henniker Motel is a magnificent choice. This lake is so wonderful. There's a delightful forest close to Mud Pond called Ames State Forest, and why not take a little tour to Amey Brook if you're here. Mud Pond is a great site to visit for more than one day, Mile/Away Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and Centennial Inn is a good site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Craney Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and a golf course close by is Duston Country Club Golf Course. is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in the vicinity of Mud Pond. There's tremendous hiking along the Wilmot Trail, and Craney Hill is trouble-free
to spot from Mud Pond. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Crotched Mountain; great hiking is available along the Old Country Road. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep
reading. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Wapack Trail is a fine local trail. Contoocook River is a nice whitewater spot close to Mud Pond, and there are plenty of people from Concord here at Mud Pond. Do take
