Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Wapack Trail is a glorious local trail,                  and get dripping wet paddling on Stony Brook. Mill Race Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and a great nearby hotel is The Henniker Motel. Having a good time at Mud Pond is uncomplicated. The slopes of Crotched Mountain are so inviting noone can resist; Campers Beach is rather nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Seven Maples Campground is a splendid location to camp, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Parker Trail. Gotta ski! Pats Peak is a fine site to do that, and Colonial Hotel is a good place to get some rest. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Picnickers Beach; Field'n Forest Recreation Area is a nice campground nearby. Near Mud Pond you find a golf course called Monadnock Country Club, and the Mitchell Hill Road offers hiking at its best. The peak of Gould Hill can be made out from Mud Pond; you'll meet a lot of people from Manchester-Nashua here.
