Gale River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and why not camp at Littton/Lisbon KOA while you're here at Mud Pond. Mud Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is great at Cannon Mountain; a pleasant site to camp here at Mud Pond is Littleton-lisbon Koa Kampground. Man, is there lots of fun things to do in the       White Mountains. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Loon Mountain is in the vicinity of Mud Pond, and if you get bored of Mud Pond you could also take a look at nearby Beaver Pond. If the weather is great here at Mud Pond, you can go for a hike along the Beech Hill Trail; a quick trip to Black Brook is definitely a great idea. This site is great, just explore all the enjoyable things to do near Mud Pond. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet,                  you can always go whitewater paddling on Wild Ammonoosuc River, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Sunset Hill Golf Course is around here. The amount of rainfall that falls at Mud Pond is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is February. Summer at Mud Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Mud Pond tend to be in the 0's. The Reel Brook Trail is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Mud Pond.
