This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Cannon Mountain nearby, and Mud Pond is right by the Glencliff Trail. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do in the White Mountains. Baker Floodwater Reservoir Site is a nearby lake that you could go to, and you can run the rapids of Baker River. This lake is so wonderful. You can observe Chokecherry Hill from Mud Pond, and it's a tremendous       idea to go to Jeffers Brook. So many amusing things to do at Mud Pond, so little time. If you need a location to stay Ammonoosuc Inn is a good choice, and hiking along the Moosilauke Carriage Road is nice fun. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Scenic View Campground is a great place for that; while you're here, you could also explore scenic Long Pond. You truly ought to love the White Mountains. Mud Pond is wonderful                  enough to spend more than a day at, Moose Hillock Campground is a wonderful local campground; after a long day outdoors Sunset Hill House is a great spot to spend a night or two. Through the months of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Mud Pond. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Wild Ammonoosuc River is a great whitewater spot near Mud Pond, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Loon Mountain. An average amount of rain falls at Mud Pond; throughout August this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month.
