Cannon Mountain is a very popular ski area nearby, and a pleasant trip to The Basin is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great earth it would be. Stay the night at Campers World Campground, and swing by Cascade Brook it's a brilliant place to go to. Summer at Mud Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's.       Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's while Mud Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. An average amount of rain falls at Mud Pond; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If the weather is magnificent here at Mud Pond, you can go for a hike along the Basin Cascade                  Trail; a fine place for whitewater paddling is Pemigewasset River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lafayette Campground. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the White Mountains has to offer. Looking for something in close proximity to Mud Pond? Shadow Lake is in the neighborhood, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Cascade Brook Trail. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful.
