    A visit to Mud Pond is always a good idea. Having a great time in the White Mountains is trouble-free. Going for a hike on the Mowglis Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and Kilton Pond Dam is a wonderful site. You can run the rapids of Smith River in the vicinity of Mud Pond, and nearby you locate the Clark Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the White Mountains has to offer. There's so much  
   to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Crescent Campsites is a splendid place for that; a day on the slopes of Whaleback is just what you need.
Looking for some flowing water? Try Halfmoon Pond Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Lamplighter Motor Inn is a good spot to get some rest, and get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Fowler River. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is great at Ragged Mountain, and at Mud Pond you
 
               can see Rollins Hill.
Just can't get enough of Mud Pond. There is a perfect hiking trail close to Mud Pond called the West Ridge Trail, and if you need a place to stay Chris Bottinger Cottages is a great choice. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. For the period of the days of summer at Mud Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mud Pond.
If you came to camp Baker River Campground is a brilliant location to do that, and naturally, this is a wonderful region for people who like lakes, Kilton Pond is a lake nearby. From a rainfall point of view Mud Pond is a pretty common location; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is commonly the driest month.
