After a long day outdoors Budget Inn Berlin Nr White MT is a great spot to spend a night or two, and Balsams Wilderness is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm spots, why not stop at Dummer Ponds close to Mud Pond; there's great hiking along the York Pond Trail. Mud Pond gets a normal amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest       with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mud Pond you will meet lots of people from close by Berlin. The summit of Cow Mountain can be observed from Mud Pond; Mud Pond is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Nay Pond Campground is a wonderful location to camp nearby. At Mud Pond all through the summer highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend                  down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. If you come at the right time of year, Androscoggin River offers some great whitewater; dry warm beds await you at A Top Notch Inn. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The White Mountains is excellent! There are tremendous spots to look at along the Jericho Trail; you'll come across a lovely lake called Lake Metalak. Mud Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the White Mountains. Don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Bog Dam Trail.
