After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Claremont is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and a striking lake like Mud Pond is a magnificent place to go to. Summer at Mountainview Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mountainview Lake. This lake is so       wonderful. Do explore Lake Sunapee in the vicinity of Mountainview Lake, it's a striking lake, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Wilmot Trail. Get dripping wet paddling on Croyden Brook, and the skiing at Whaleback is great. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a sight of Baisdell Hill from Mountainview Lake, also Lake Sunapee Dam is worth going to while you're here. If you came to camp Rand Pond Campground is a good place to                  do that, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Mountainview Lake called the West Ridge Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff close to Mountainview Lake. Bay Point is close at hand and always great to go to; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Sunapee is quite near. Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a pleasant location to get some rest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sugar River. An average amount of rain falls at Mountainview Lake; all through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. You must without doubt visit beautiful Dewey Beach if you're here at Mountainview Lake, and Mountainview Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Loon Lake Campground is a pleasant local campground.
