    The beauty of Mountainview Lake is reason enough to stop by. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Claremont is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and a striking lake like Mud Pond is a magnificent place to go to. Summer at Mountainview Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mountainview Lake. This lake is so  
   wonderful. Do explore Lake Sunapee in the vicinity of Mountainview Lake, it's a striking lake, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Wilmot Trail.
Get dripping wet paddling on Croyden Brook, and the skiing at Whaleback is great. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a sight of Baisdell Hill from Mountainview Lake, also Lake Sunapee Dam is worth going to while you're here. If you came to camp Rand Pond Campground is a good place to
 
               do that, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail.
There is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Mountainview Lake called the West Ridge Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff close to Mountainview Lake. Bay Point is close at hand and always great to go to; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Sunapee is quite near. Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a pleasant location to get some rest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sugar River.
An average amount of rain falls at Mountainview Lake; all through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. You must without doubt visit beautiful Dewey Beach if you're here at Mountainview Lake, and Mountainview Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Loon Lake Campground is a pleasant local campground. State Park Beach is next to Mountainview Lake and is a stunning beach to check out, and do check out Chandler Brook since you're here at Mountainview Lake.

Went there too in 75 and 77....I learned how to swim in Orange Pond, cooled off on hot summer days in Orange Pond, canoed, rowed and fished there. The ingress, at the time, was from Camp Magpies, from which there was a wonderful view of Mount Cardigan over the Pond....

I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......f a new upscale dining establishment, additional snow-making capacity, and three all new terrain parks including one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East.
The resort development group has a history of building resorts around the Western U.S. and Canada. Along with the substantial funds to help with improvements, the new owners hired ski industry veteran Bob Fries as president and general manager to implement the necessary changes.
