If you are in Carroll county it's always a good idea to stop by Mountain Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mountain Pond; Sable Mountain Trail is a pleasant local trail; you acquire a pleasant view of Mountain Shaw from here. Mountain Pond is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rain; most of the snow falls through November, and February is when it's the driest. Mountain Pond is not the only site close by, Province Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Adventure Suites is a good choice, and if you've had enough of Mountain Pond, Shingle Pond is
nearby. Having a great time in the White Mountains is painless. There's whitewater on Saco River - East Branch for all you thrill seekers; great hiking is available along the Mountain Shaw Trail. Mountain Pond is a beautiful lake
in the White Mountains. Really good skiing awaits you at Cranmore Mountain; you can run the rapids of Ellis River.
