And that's not all there is to do here in the White Mountains. While you're here at Mountain Pond you can take a hike along the Prospect Trail, and Tenney Mountain is a splendid local ski area. Summertime highs at Mountain Pond commonly tend to be in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's; winter nights       come with lows in the 0's to Mountain Pond. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. The slopes of Ragged Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. Soar down the rapids of Pemigewasset River in a kayak, and George Duncan State Forest is a glorious local forest. This lake is so wonderful.
