The scenery at Lower Mountain Lake Dam in close proximity to Mountain Lake is gorgeous, and Mountain Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Pleasant Valley Camp Grounds is a great spot to camp nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Lyndon Outing Club is near Mountain Lake, and since you're here and you like golf, you can have a look       at Blackmount Country Club. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mountain Lake; the nighttime is quite colder of course, typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows through the winter for Mountain Lake tend to be in the 0's. Man, is there a load of entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Mountain Lake. Take a little journey to Waterman Brook since you're here at Mountain Lake, and Mountain Lake                  is right by the Chippewa Trail. Twin River Campground and Cottages is a great local campground; hiking along the Blueberry Mountain Trail is wonderful fun. A day on the slopes of Cannon Mountain is just what you need; you'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Upper Mountain Lake. Sunset Hill House is a tremendous location to get some rest, and Wild Ammonoosuc River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. You need to visit Pond Ledge if you're here at Mountain Lake; do take a hike on the Black Mountain Trail. Paddling on Wild Ammonoosuc River is so much fun, and lakes are such serene locations, why not explore Lower Mountain Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Ammonoosuc Inn is a great choice, and do set aside some time for The Plain if you're here at Mountain Lake.
