The beauty of Morrill Pond is reason enough to stop by. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. This lake is so wonderful. Pats Peak has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Wapack Trail. Why not camp at Mile/Away Campground since you're here at Morrill Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Contoocook River.

| | at Rock' N Birch Campground, and needless to say Patten Brook flows through this vicinity. During the long summer days at Morrill Pond highs are generally in the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Morrill Pond. French Pond is a pleasant lake near Morrill Pond, and Morrill Pond is right by the Old Country Road.

Do have a look at Contoocook Valley Paper Company Dam while you're here at Morrill Pond; close to Morrill Pond you find a golf course called Angus Lea Golf Course. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Morrill Pond
has it all. After a long day outdoors The Henniker Motel is a splendid site to spend a night or two, and the peak of Bear Hill can be seen from Morrill Pond. The nice people of Concord like to hang out nearby; if you need a place
to stay Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a nice choice.
The annual precipitation here at Morrill Pond is about average; November is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Morrill Pond; Wilmot Trail is a good local trail, and you can hit the slopes at Crotched Mountain in the vicinity.
