All through the warmest time of the year at Moose Pond temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. loads but there's even more fun things to do here in the White Mountains. Moose Pond is right by the Bog Dam Trail; the snow is good at Balsams Wilderness. Moose Pond is a good site of typical precipitation; the wettest month of the
year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. Not far from Moose Pond, you'll hit upon Rock Pond which is a delightful lake, and paddling on Androscoggin River is so much fun.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Jericho Trail; Moose Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Log Haven Campground is a brilliant local campground.

 | I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are.... |
