Campton Pond is a lake nearby, and hey, Beebe River is a great local stream. During the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Milo Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; nighttime lows during the winter for Milo Lake tend to be in the 0's. And if that's not enough there's heaps more entertaining stuff to do in       the White Mountains. Milo Lake is near Milo Lake Dam which is a stunning spot certainly worth taking a look at, and there's whitewater on Mad River for all you adrenaline junkies. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The White Mountains is excellent!. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more fun things to do here in the White Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Moosilauke Pond, and                  Milo Lake is right by the Peaked Hill Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby Owl's Nest Golf Club; you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Dickey Mountain Trail. A perfect nearby hotel is Days Inn Campton, and at Milo Lake you can catch a glimpse of Sunset Hill. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Milo Lake. There's so much to do here at Milo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Goose Hollow Camp and RV Park is a good place for that, and do take a hike on the Cascade Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Plains is a wonderful place here at Milo Lake, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Branch Brook. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Milo Lake has to offer, you can camp at Branch Brook Fourseason Campground, and after a long day outdoors Pilgrim Inn and Cottages is a perfect place to spend a night or two. From a precipitation point of view Milo Lake is a relatively common spot; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Milo Lake. Skiing at Tenney Mountain is one of those things you just should do, and you can never get enough of the good skiing at Waterville Valley.
