Go for a hike on the Futures Trail; you're possibly into lakes, Walpole Reservoir is one of those nearby. Mill Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly       August, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. At Mill Pond you can distinguish Hooper Hill; there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Sunrise Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Ascutney is a very popular ski area around here, and camping is available at Brookside Camping. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mill Pond, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. Through the wintertime this                  place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mill Pond. Going for a hike on the Sunset Trail is always a wonderful adventure; naturally, this is a nice vicinity for people who like lakes, Connecticut River Reservoir is a lake close at hand. Holiday Inn Express SPRINGFIELD is a tremendous location to get some rest, and Mill Pond Dam is a charming place, absolutely worth visiting. Having a fine time at Mill Pond is uncomplicated. While you're here at Mill Pond you can play some golf at Hooper Golf Club; drift down the rapids of Cold River in a kayak.
