This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Old Country Road. Lakes are great; Long Pond is a lake that's close to Middle Pond. High temperatures at Middle Pond all through the months of summer are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Middle Pond temperatures drop to the       0's. Whitewater paddling is fine on Contoocook River, and dry warm beds await you at The Centennial. This is a good vicinity for people who like lakes. Upper Pond is a lake nearby; why not a little side trip to Amey Brook. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Hiking along the Wapack Trail is brilliant fun, and Middle Pond is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Mile/Away Campground is a splendid location to camp nearby. This lake is so                  wonderful. Middle Pond is right by the Wilmot Trail, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Duston Country Club Golf Course. Grassy Pond Dam is beautiful and it's close to Middle Pond; a day on the slopes of Crotched Mountain is just what you need. Middle Pond is a wet location that gets a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. The Henniker Motel is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and Rock' N Birch Campground is a perfect campground nearby. Head up to Pats Peak and strap some skis to your feet, and here at Middle Pond you can make out Buck Hill. Middle Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise.
