But wait, there's more to do near Merrimack River Reservoir. The slopes of Pats Peak are so inviting noone can resist, and do explore Snow Pond, it's a stunning lake. There's splendid hiking along the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail, and Sewalls Falls is always fun to check out.       Stay the night at Thousand Aces Family Campground. This place, Merrimack River Reservoir, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Not far from Merrimack River Reservoir you get some splendid water scenery at Sewalls Falls Dam, and splendid hiking is available along the Catamount Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn CONCORD, and you'll meet a lot of people from Concord here. The yearly precipitation here at Merrimack                  River Reservoir is about average; May is when you get the most rain here; January is the month with the least moisture. Horseshoe Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at; Beaver Meadow Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. Go for a hike on the Onemile Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Winnipesaukee River. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Courtyard Concord is a fine location to spend a night or two, and Goodwin Point is close at hand and always good to pop by. All through the days of summer at Merrimack River Reservoir highs are commonly in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Merrimack River Reservoir night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's.
