Go to Meredith Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Meredith Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Meredith Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Clearwater Campground, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Winnipesaukee River. Season Camping Area is a wonderful place to camp nearby. Don't leave Meredith Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Ridge Trail, naturally you could also stop at Lake Waukewan since you're here; it's not far at all.
The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Gunstock; there's whitewater on Beebe River for all you adrenaline kick people. If you need a site to stay The Summit Resort is a brilliant choice, and if you've had enough
of Meredith Reservoir, Footes Pond is nearby. A large amount of precipitation falls at Meredith Reservoir; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
