close by Bailey Pond, and a glorious place for whitewater paddling is Souhegan River. The slopes of Crotched Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Old Country Road. McGregors
Pond is not the only location nearby, Sandhill Pond is a nearby lake; going for a hike on the Wapack Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to come across some wonderful folks from Manchester-Nashua
here; everybody nearby loves skiing at Pats Peak. You'll need more than a day to explore everything McGregors Pond has to offer, you can camp at Friendly Beaver Camp Ground, and dry warm beds await you at Hill - Brook Motel. During
the warmest time of the year highs here at McGregors Pond reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to McGregors Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Piscataquog River - South Branch near McGregors Pond, and if you're here, you could go to Lords Brook.
