You can run the rapids of Souhegan River near Mayberry Pond; after a long day outdoors Hill - Brook Motel is a good site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Piscataquog River - South Branch is a delightful whitewater spot near Mayberry Pond, and Sandhill Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Mayberry Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Mayberry Pond is Friendly Beaver Camp Ground, and going for a hike on the Mitchell Hill Road is always a fine adventure.
