If you need a site to stay Rodeway Inn Claremont is a nice choice, and Mount Sunapee has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You'll find a pretty lake called Butterfield Pond near May Pond; there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Farmers Trail. You'll       need more than a day to explore everything May Pond has to offer, you can camp at Idle Times Campground; do have a look at Butterfield Pond, it's a striking lake. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Ames Hill can be seen from May Pond, and Crotched Mountain is a very popular ski area close by. Not far from May Pond you get some delightful water scenery at Butterfield Pond Dam, and a quick spree to Cherry Brook is certainly a pleasant idea. The annual                  precipitation here at May Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the long summer days highs here at May Pond reach the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at May Pond dip into the 10's. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like May Pond. There's whitewater on Croyden Brook for all you adrenaline junkies. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Contoocook River - North Branch. There's so much to do here at May Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Rand Pond Campground is a wonderful site for that. This lake is so wonderful.
