Why not stop by Manning Lake if you're passing through these parts. Summertime highs at Manning Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Manning Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. There are some nice whitewater spots on Suncook River; don't leave Manning Lake without first going for a hike along the Catamount Trail. People

one day, Bay Hill Campground and Cabins is a good place to camp nearby. Stay the night at Barnes Field Campground - White Mountain National Forest, and the peak of Goat Pasture Hill can be spotted from Manning Lake. This lake
is so wonderful. There are nice locations to explore along the Onemile Trail, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Gunstock. Good hiking is available along the Campground Trail. It's a great idea to stop at Nelson Brook, it's in close
proximity to Manning Lake; dry warm beds await you at The Margate Resort. Manning Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain while February is usually the driest month.
