If you need a place to stay Wolfeboro Inn is a good choice, and fine hiking is available along the Onemile Trail. Just can't get enough of Lower Suncook Lake. A great nearby hotel is Red Roof Inn Loudon; an afternoon playing golf at Nippo Lake Golf Club is always a bliss. This lake is so wonderful. Big River is a gorgeous stream that is worth a visit, and a tour to Alton Town Beach is always a tremendous idea.       There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Abenaki, and Suncook Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. There's so much to do here at Lower Suncook Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hillcrest Campground and Cabins is a good site for that, and Suncook Lake Dam is an interesting thing to check out. Lower Suncook Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest                  of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lower Suncook Lake without first going for a hike along the Campground Trail, and lots of folks from Laconia come here. Stay the night at Sun River Campground, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Suncook River. So much amusing stuff to do at Lower Suncook Lake, so little time. There's nice hiking along the Catamount Trail. Summer at Lower Suncook Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is a little colder of course, generally in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lower Suncook Lake.
