New Hampshire has many beautiful lakes and Lower Shields Pond is one of them. Yeah, come here to Lower Shields Pond for a magnificent time. So many amusing things to do here at Lower Shields Pond, too brilliant to be true. Shields Brook is a nice location to pop by, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Campground Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Hoodkroft Country Club, and a beautiful lake like Scobie Pond is a good location

| | to pop by. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at McIntyre if you're here; if you need a place to stay Sleep Inn Londonderry is a brilliant choice. Skiing at Bradford is one of those things you just ought to do, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Merrimack River. here at Lower Shields Pond; most of the rain falls during November; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Hidden Valley RV And Golf Park is a nice site to camp; whitewater paddling
is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Concord River. At Lower Shields Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the
20's with temperatures at Lower Shields Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Why not check out Beaver Brook Dam while you're here, and a tremendous close by hotel is Best Western Executive Court Inn & Conference
Center. Rainbow Lake is a splendid lake in close proximity to Lower Shields Pond, and the Catamount Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by.

Locust Pond
 | 13 miles away 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
