Near Lower Reservoir you discover the Clark Pond Loop which is a good hiking trail, and camping at Rest N' Nest Campground is always a tremendous experience. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Lower Reservoir called the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail, and since you're here at Lower Reservoir, checking out Velvet Rocks is a must. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Grimes       Hill Road is always a tremendous adventure, and a quick spree to Camp Brook is certainly a fine idea. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Mascoma River, and a fine vista of pretty Balch Hill is available. During the long summer days highs here at Lower Reservoir get into the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lower Reservoir are in the-10's. Whaleback                  has good slopes and a friendly staff, and not far from Lower Reservoir you obtain some glorious water scenery at Lower Reservoir Dam. A normal amount of rain falls here at Lower Reservoir; August is the wettest month with most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Man, is there heaps of entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Lower Reservoir. Hanover Country Club is a magnificent golf course close by. There are plenty of folks from Lebanon here at Lower Reservoir, and Lower Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Storrs Pond Recreation Area is a good local campground. After a long day outdoors Courtyard by Marriott Hanover Lebanon is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and Suicide Six is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place.
