There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Lyndon Outing Club, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lower Mountain Lake without first checking out Pond Ledge, and a perfect nearby hotel is Ammonoosuc Inn. You have to undeniably dedicate some time to The Plain while you're here at Lower Mountain       Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Chippewa Trail. So much cool stuff in the neighborhood of Lower Mountain Lake, truly extraordinary. It's a great idea to have a look at Waterman Brook, it's right next door to Lower Mountain Lake, and you can run the rapids of Wild Ammonoosuc River. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Lower Mountain Lake get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs throughout                  the winter are usually in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lower Mountain Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. The Blueberry Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail near Lower Mountain Lake, and Lower Mountain Lake is a brilliant location to visit for more than one day, Twin River Campground and Cottages is a brilliant location to camp nearby. Lower Mountain Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month.
