The beauty of Lower Mountain Lake attracts many people from all around. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Lyndon Outing Club, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lower Mountain Lake without first checking out Pond Ledge, and a perfect nearby hotel is Ammonoosuc Inn. Lake; a good site for whitewater paddling is Wild Ammonoosuc River. The Blueberry Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail near Lower Mountain Lake, and Lower Mountain Lake is a brilliant location to visit for more than one day, Twin
River Campground and Cottages is a brilliant location to camp nearby. Lower Mountain Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest
month. Really nice skiing awaits you at Cannon Mountain, and if you're a golfer then a good close by course is Blackmount Country Club.
