A trip to The Plain revives the spirit, and since you're here at Lower Mountain Lake, checking out Pond Ledge is a must. This lake is so wonderful.       A gorgeous lake like Mountain Lake close to Lower Mountain Lake is a nice site to go to, and Lyndon Outing Club is a very popular ski area close by. You truly should go for Lower Mountain Lake. Lower Mountain Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Pleasant Valley Camp Grounds is a delightful local campground, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Blueberry Mountain Trail. You can run the rapids of Wild Ammonoosuc                  River near Lower Mountain Lake, and do take a look at Upper Mountain Lake, it's a scenic lake. There's so much to do here at Lower Mountain Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Twin River Campground and Cottages is a delightful place for that; Waterman Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. Cannon Mountain has splendid slopes and a friendly staff, and you can take a little visit to Lower Mountain Lake Dam while you're here at Lower Mountain Lake. Throughout the summertime months at Lower Mountain Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lower Mountain Lake drop into the 0's. From a rain point of view Lower Mountain Lake is a quite common place; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
