Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Lovell River, and King Pine has great slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Saco Valley Canoe. Be careful coming to the White Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you need a place to stay Merrill Farm Resort is a pleasant choice, and a great location to camp here at Loud Pond is Camp Tohkomeupog. Don't leave Loud

| | Pond without first going for a hike along the White Horse Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Swift River offers some good whitewater. That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; Loud Pond has it all. There's delightful hiking along the Bruce Path, and a wonderful close by hotel is North Conway Grand Hotel. take a look at close by Crystal Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. Summertime highs at Loud Pond usually tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime
brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Loud Pond. That right there is loads of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. There are brilliant places to discover
along the White Ledge Trail, and Pea Porridge Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Loud Pond a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is September.
