If you get bored of Loon Lake, you could also visit nearby Bog Pond; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Peaked Hill Pond Trail. Drift down the rapids of Halls Brook in a kayak, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Stinson Mountain Trail. Loon Lake is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains. Loon Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February       is when it's the driest. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the White Mountains has to offer. Stay the night at Camp Masquebec Hill; nice skiing awaits you at Loon Mountain. Skiing at Tenney Mountain is one of those things you just should do, and Loon Lake is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, R & B Camp Baggage is a magnificent spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Red Carpet                  Inn and Suites Plymouth; Loon Lake is not the only spot nearby, Campton Bog Pond is a nearby lake. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The White Mountains is excellent! Near Loon Lake you discover a golf course called Owl's Nest Golf Club; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Rattlesnake Mountain Trail. All the outdoors enjoyable things near Loon Lake will keep you coming back many times. If you need a site to stay Red Carpet Motel is a good choice; get drenched paddling on Branch Brook. High temperatures at Loon Lake through the months of summer are in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
