Summertime highs at Long Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Long Pond. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do in the neighborhood of Long Pond. Gotta ski! Crotched Mountain is a wonderful       place to do that, and after a long day outdoors E.F. Lane Hotel is a fine location to spend a night or two. Take a side journey to Richardson Brook, and the Pumpelly Trail offers hiking at its best. Long Pond gets a normal amount of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. There are plenty of folks from Keene here at Long Pond, and a delightful lake like Sand Pond is a perfect location to pop by. A fine place to camp here at Long Pond is Idle Times Campground, and there's great hiking along the Farmers Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ashuelot River, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Sunapee. You'll find a pretty lake called Sand Pond near Long Pond, and don't leave Long Pond without first going for a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
