Get dripping wet paddling on Piscataquog River - South Branch, and fine hiking is available along the Catamount Trail. Days Inn Concord is a delightful site to get some rest, and playing golf is lots of fun at Countryside Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Kimball Pond Dam is pretty and it's next to Long Pond; skiing at McIntyre is one of those things you just should       do. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Long Pond. While you're here at Long Pond, you could also stop by beautiful Moonshine Pond. Any time is a great time at Long Pond if you go for the outdoors. Paddling on Piscataquog River is so much fun, and if you need a spot to stay Hampton Inn Concord/Bow is a pleasant choice. The high level of precipitation makes Long Pond a reasonably wet place; most of the rain falls through November; January is when it's                  the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Long Pond has to offer, you can camp at Autumn Hills Campground; Long Pond is not far at all from Manchester-Nashua. Really perfect skiing awaits you at Pats Peak, and Long Pond is a great location to visit for more than one day, Skypark Campground is a great location to camp nearby. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Great Meadows is right close by, and going for a hike on the Old Country Road is always a magnificent adventure. All through the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 80's at Long Pond. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's.
