This lake is so wonderful. Ammonoosuc Inn is a glorious place to get some rest, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Tunnel Brook Trail. Not far from Long Pond, you'll discover Oliverian Pond which is a pretty lake, and Long Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Moose       Hillock Campground is a splendid local campground. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the White Mountains. Howe Hill is a stream that you may come across while here, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Blueberry Mountain Trail. Long Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. And if that's not enough there's plenty more amusing things to do in the White Mountains. You can run the rapids                  of Baker River in the vicinity of Long Pond, and the scenery at Long Pond Dam is stunning. The view of Mount Clough from Long Pond is lovely, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Black Mountain Trail. There's whitewater on Wild Ammonoosuc River for all you adrenaline junkies, and dry warm beds await you at Sunset Hill House. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Long Pond get into the 80's; the overnight is quite colder of course, typically in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Long Pond sink into the 0's. But wait, there's more to do close to Long Pond. This place, Long Pond, it simply has so much outdoors exciting stuff. If you came to camp Scenic View Campground is a great place to do that, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Loon Mountain. This lake is so wonderful.
