Mountains, just fantastic. Lots of people from Berlin come to Long Pond, and drift down the rapids of Androscoggin River in a kayak. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Old Magalloway Trail. Looking for something close to Long Pond? Rock Pond is in the vicinity, and Long Pond is a good location to visit for more than one day, Mollidgewock Campground is a good
location to camp nearby. So many exciting things to do here at Long Pond, too great to be true. You get a great sight of Mount Patience from Long Pond; the Bog Dam Trail offers hiking at its best.

Cedar Pond
 | I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are.... |
