The annual rain here at Lonesome Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most while February is commonly the driest month. The Basin is a good site; going for a hike along the Cascade Brook Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the White Mountains       has to offer. At Lonesome Lake you always meet someone from North Woodstock, and there are other spots here than Lonesome Lake, for example Echo Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Loon Mountain, and paddling on Cascade Brook is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Lonesome Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Campers World Campground is a great location to camp nearby; not far                  from Lonesome Lake you'll discover Mud Pond which is a picturesque lake. Put some time aside to spend at Bridalveil Falls if you're here at Lonesome Lake, and the peak of The Cannon Balls can be observed from Lonesome Lake. Through the warm months highs here at Lonesome Lake get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Lonesome Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Lonesome Lake is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains.
