The amount of rainfall that falls at Locke Lake is close to the national average; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Abenaki are so inviting noone can resist; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Nippo Lake Golf Club. Throughout the days of summer here at Locke Lake,       high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Locke Lake. This place, Locke Lake, it simply has so much outdoors cool stuff. If you come at the right time of year, Suncook River offers some wonderful whitewater. A good place to camp here at Locke Lake is Sun River Campground, and nothing beats kicking back at Alton Town                  Beach. Do check out Lower Suncook Lake close to Locke Lake, it's a striking lake, and nearby you find the Campground Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. What would winter be without some skiing at Gunstock, and a lovely lake like Brindle Pond is a splendid spot to take a look at. There are nice spots to explore along the Onemile Trail, and why not camp at Green Tops Campground if you're here at Locke Lake. Yeah, come here to Locke Lake for a nice time. Wolfeboro Inn is a delightful location to get some rest; going for a hike on the Catamount Trail is always a nice adventure. Dry warm beds await you at Red Roof Inn Loudon, and some nearby water includes Webster Stream. This lake is so wonderful.
