    Lity Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Lity Pond has it all. Why not stop by Long Pond Brook Dam while you're here, and paddling on Sugar River is so much fun. Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a wonderful spot to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lity Pond has to offer, you can camp at Loon Lake Campground. This is no site for people  
   who don’t like to have a good time. Have a good hiking adventure along the Futures Trail. There's so much to do here at Lity Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Crows Nest Campground is a delightful place for that.
If you want to hit the beach, State Park Beach is close at hand, and a day on the slopes of Whaleback is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day you get a sight of Bald Mountain from Lity Pond, and you have
 
               to beyond doubt stop by lovely Dewey Beach while you're here. Take a hike on the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Croyden Brook.
This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lity Pond, you'll come across The Overflow Reservoir which is a charming lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Claremont; Long Pond Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit.
Head up to Mount Sunapee and strap some skis to your feet, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Gordon Woolen Mill Pond. Lity Pond gets a normal amount of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Lity Pond through the summertime highs are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Lity Pond tend to be in the 0's.

Went there too in 75 and 77....I learned how to swim in Orange Pond, cooled off on hot summer days in Orange Pond, canoed, rowed and fished there. The ingress, at the time, was from Camp Magpies, from which there was a wonderful view of Mount Cardigan over the Pond....

I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......ountain, base lodge renovations including new carpet, the repair of steps and outside brick walkways, the addition of seasonal lockers and an outdoor fire pit, and adding two new restaurants.
The renovations did not stop there. In 2008, Ragged Mountain announced the addition of a new upscale dining establishment, additional snow-making capacity, and three all new terrain parks including one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East.
The resort development group has a history of building resorts around the Western U.S. and Canada. Along with the substantial funds to help with improvements, the new owners hired ski industry veteran Bob Fries as president and general manager to implement the necessary changes. Fries has an impressive resume with 35 years in the ski resort business including five years as owner and president of Bolton Valley, president of Stratton Mountain in Vermont, and president of Breckenridge in Colorado.
