Go to Lily Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. High temperatures at Lily Pond all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lily Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There are pleasant spots to explore along the Rattlesnake Trail; golf can be played at Pheasant Ridge

| | Country Club. So many exciting things to do in the White Mountains, not sufficient time. You can run the rapids of Winnipesaukee River right next door to Lily Pond, and a good beach nearby is Gilford Beach. Lily Pond ordinarily gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. But wait, there's more to do near Lily Pond. | |

A pleasant visit to Gilford Bowl is a great way to spend an afternoon, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Abenaki. Don't leave Lily Pond without first going for a hike along the Butterworth Trail; Lily Pond is
great enough to spend more than a day at, Dolly Copp Big Meadow - White Mountain National Forest is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Cedar Lodge Brickyard Mountain is a perfect choice;
if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Endicott Park Beach. There's wonderful hiking along the Ridge Trail, and lots of people from Laconia come here. This location, the White Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing
things. Skiing at Gunstock is one of those things you just must do, and Paugus Bay is very near and is a glorious place to stop at. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the White Mountains. Just can't get enough of Lily Pond.
Some of the water close by flows, like Black Brook, and a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Cold Brook. There's so much to do here at Lily Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Barnes Field Campground - White Mountain National Forest is a great location for that, and a good nearby hotel is Bartons Motel.
